Overview

Jane is a conceptual artist from the Isle of Lewis who works within the mediums of installation, ceramics, photography and painting. A strong interest in place and identity underpins all her work, where she likes to draw parallels between her own life and the costal environment that surrounds her. She is continuously drawn towards shape, colour, pattern and composition. Jane loves trying to bring aspects of the local environment into her art, whether it is though the visual content, by positioning it and documenting it within the location that inspired it or by incorporating aspects of the site itself within the piece.
